SPEAKING FROM SPEER-IT
“It is the nature of the Universe that, whenever the Universe makes a demand upon Itself, out of that very demand is created its fulfillment. This idea is called Emergent Evolution...” Dr. Ernest Holmes
Dearest Spiritual Community,
It’s official! At our recent annual Membership meeting, our quorum of DuPage Center members unanimously voted to accept a new name, “The DuPage Center for Spiritual Living.”
When we assign a name to something, we are designating its nature. We feel our new name expresses our Vision: To Awaken to our Spiritual Magnificence. As we each awaken to the Truth of our being, we bring that consciousness into our daily life. We live from Cause, not effect, and in so doing, experience the joy of Spiritual Living.
We are pleased to be a part of the evolution of Religious Science International (RSI) and United Churches of Spiritual Living (now UCSL) as we express the nature of our Movement’s true identity around the globe.
At our annual meeting we presented our Objectives for the upcoming year, which are as follows:
DuPage Center for Spiritual Living
2008/2009 Objectives
- To create a dynamic communications campaign around our new identity as
The DuPage Center for Spiritual Living
- To develop short range (1 year) and long range (5-10 year) strategic development plans
- To have a new church home by Mid-2009
- To augment the quality of the Sunday experience,
including:
- expanding music
- enrich our 9 a.m. service
- and involve and include our youth periodically in
Sunday services
- To be financially solvent and successful by:
- meeting/exceeding our 2008 budgeted revenues,
- budgeting expenses to include “demand on Law” for Ministers Conference accruals and planned growth for our Reserve Account
- To develop conscious Membership at every level,
including leadership, small group activities, new member and ongoing classes
- To expand educational/inspirational programs of disctinction at every level, including youth
- To develop conscious “SEVA Service” (volunteer) opportunities and recognition/appreciation events
- To strengthen youth programs — within DuPage Center, as well as hosting/convening events that encompass the Heartland states
- To expand Inreach/Outreach programs
Whether you're physically a part of our DuPage Center congregation or are experiencing our ministry through this Website, we are grateful for the essential role you play in propagating the sane and practical teachings of New Thought/Ancient Wisdom. Know that YOU truly make a difference!
We welcome you, and invite you to join us as, together, we inspire the Realization of Good in our lives through a personal relationship with God.
In the Spirit of Love,
